Class A CDL Driver – Material Haul Driver
The Truck Driver is responsible for operating trucks to transport dirt, aggregate, asphalt, and other materials and/or equipment to various job site locations. This is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of equipment/trucks.
Essential Duties:
Operates truck in a safe and professional manner on public highways, roads, in the yard area, and at various job sites to deliver materials.
Performs daily pre/post-trip inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with DOT guidelines.
Properly follow all company policies and procedures for safe working procedures and environment. Report any problems to the Foreman, Superintendent, Safety Manager, or Human Resources Manager.
Obey applicable laws and follow dispatch instructions.
Must keep the vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.

Must have 2-3 years of Verifiable Commercial Truck Driving Experience.

Job Summary
The Equipment Manager / Asset Manager is responsible for supporting the heavy civil construction operations, asphalt paving operations and asphalt plant production operations. The Equipment Manager / Asset Manager will have full P&L responsibility for the heavy civil construction equipment fleet, asphalt paving equipment fleet, asphalt milling equipment fleet, asphalt plant production equipment fleet, the equipment shops, the internal legal haul trucking fleet and associated equipment management personnel team members. The Equipment Manager / Asset Manager will be responsible for the planning, scheduling, budgeting, utilization, reliability, maintenance, preventative maintenance and modernization of Overland Corporation’s and Overland Materials & Manufacturing, Inc.’s equipment fleet. He or she will manage skilled craftsmen and will work closely with project management team members, division managers, area managers, senior leadership and the executive leadership of Overl...and, while championing safety, fiscal responsibility, productivity, and quality.
Essential Functions
Interact with owners, clients, managers, subcontractors, vendors, legal haul trucking companies, Overland Equipment Group employees and maintain a positive working relationship.
Execute work plan by effectively managing crews and equipment.
Manage daily timekeeping logs, and equipment logs, as well as complete daily reports and daily diaries.
Educate and train equipment group team members on safety, production goals, and equipment maintenance.
Develop and mentor equipment group team members through training opportunities and providing accurate feedback on performance.
Ensure operation is safe and use disciplinary actions as needed to always maintain safety. Report injuries and damages to appropriate personnel. Ensure good housekeeping through the use of toolbox talks, safety meetings, etc.
Keep track of assets and take steps to limit vandalism.
Knowledge of asphalt paving and asphalt paving equipment.
Climb up and down ladders to gain access to work to supervise the crew. Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces throughout the construction site and be able to stand and walk multiple hours a day.
Must be capable, licensed, and approved to drive a company pick-up truck or similar vehicle to work sites, offices, and other locations as required to perform job duties.
Recruits, interviews, and hires qualified applicants for available positions. Involved in all other personnel actions such as disciplining, promotions, demotions, and terminations.
Knowledge and exposure to telematics and legal haul truck dispatch systems.
Knowledge and exposure to technical survey systems such as GPS and robotics.
Effective equipment utilization. Earthwork, stabilization, milling and asphalt paving equipment knowledge.
Required Skills & Experience
10+ years of previous equipment management / asset management experience
Supervisory experience required
P&L management experience
Budgeting and forecasting experience
Asset acquisition procurement & divesture experience
Strong prioritization and?organizational skills; detail-oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be dependable, self-motivated, and task-oriented
